I have grown up with horses in my blood. From being put on horses with my parents as a baby, then getting my own pony at 2 and a half years old, through until now, I have never been without a horse. I cannot get by in life without them. I did try once. It lasted for a full 2 weeks!!!

I have always had an interest in training. But I've always thought there were better ways. As a child, I hated seeing horses whipped and beaten in order to get them to "do as they were told". I firmly believe in being their leader and having respect from them. But I also think they deserve respect. Respect is earned, and must go both ways for any relationship to work well. So I have studied many different trainers, searching for better and more gentle methods in order to improve my horsemanship and have better relationships with my horses. I also feel that there is no point in training a horse, without training the owner. If the owner has no understanding of how I've trained the horse and what the cues are, it ends up being a frustrating time for the owner, and a confusing time for the horse, as neither knows what the other is doing or asking. Which is why I insist on training both.

As for my massage side of things, I've always wanted to work with horses. I stopped working when I fell pregnant with my first child, and now that both my children are in school, I wanted to go back to work, but doing something for myself, on my own terms, and having flexible hours. So I thought why not combine my love of helping horses, with my want for a business? I stumbled upon my Equine Sports Massage Course online, and the light bulbs came on! So I signed up straight away and here we are! I am thoroughly enjoying spending my days making horses feel good, and I love seeing the results! Some changes in the horses, not just physically, but also mentally and emotionally, are worth their weight in gold! It's really amazing what massage can do.

So I am offering my services, as affordable as possible, in the hope that I can help many horses and owners have a better bond, feel better and enjoy their lives that little bit more!

About us

Sarah is now a permanent fixture in my stables. After seeing her work on 4 of my horses recently, I booked her to come once a week in order to ensure that all my horses get the "Sarah's Equine Massage" treatment. I cannot recommend her highly enough, and I would encourage anyone to give Sarah a go. You won't be disappointed! Thank you Sarah for your professional and thorough engagement with my special horses!

Thank you Sarah for the wonderful massage on our "aged" mare. I've never seen her so relaxed and it's definitely helped her injured shoulder. Highly recommended.
